Shanna’s passion lies in educating people about the human body and helping patients to understand the root cause of their problem to empower them. Her treatment methods focus on education and manual therapy to facilitate patient goals and improve comfort. She believes in making the rehabilitation journey fun and values the relationships she builds with clients along the way.
Shanna has a lifelong love of learning and enjoys staying updated in new research and methods to help patients. She is one of three Certified Hand Therapists working at Pan Am Clinic – of which there are only 12 in all of Manitoba. She has experience teaching courses and has served as an examiner for the physiotherapy licensing exam and regularly oversees physiotherapy students. Shanna is a long-time member of the Pan Am Clinic team, with nearly 20 years of experience. She appreciates the unique environment at Pan Am Rehab, working alongside her fellow physiotherapists and collaborating with the hand surgeons in the building.
When she is not at work, Shanna enjoys reading (preferably on a lounge chair in the sun), yoga, lifting weights, and spending time with her husband, young daughter and their dog Louie. She has also had the amazing experience of working as a physiotherapist in Australia – a topic she is always happy to chat endlessly about!
