Sarah’s fascination with human anatomy and physiology, as well as her passion for working with people has been a driving force compelling her to embark on a career path in physiotherapy. Throughout her academic journey, both at the undergraduate and master’s levels, she devoted her spare time to volunteer work at the geriatric rehabilitation unit within Victoria General Hospital, alongside active engagement in community service projects with youth.
Growing up in Malaysia, Sarah was exposed to a rich and diverse culture. Her background has given her insights into how culture shapes people’s views on injury, pain, and recovery. She firmly believes that rehab isn’t one-size-fits-all. Outside of work, Sarah unleashes her inner warrior with Japanese-style sword fighting, and when the weather’s warm, you’ll find her hitting the trails on her bike or hiking. Oh, and she’s always on the hunt for the next great restaurant in Winnipeg to try out!
