A Winnipeg medical clinic is again enlisting the help of a provincial amateur sports organization in an attempt to better understand and manage concussions.
Football Manitoba sent out a survey to its membership recently to get feedback for the Pan Am Clinic Foundation, which will use the information as part of its ongoing research into concussions in sport. The foundation administered a survey with Hockey Manitoba last year.
Foundation executive director Jeff Leiter said the goal is to improve awareness, information and treatment of an injury that is currently a hot-button topic in sports, but is still an unknown in many ways.
