Rickie became interested in physiotherapy due to her passion for science, biology, and the human body. She started her professional career in Minneapolis, MN, working and living her best life for 12 years. During that time, she developed a penchant for shoulder rehabilitation and Return to Throw after working with the surgeon for the Minnesota Twins. Rickie loves a complicated shoulder! Her caseload now consists of non-operative and operative shoulders. During the pandemic, she underwent treatment for ovarian cancer resulting in permanent physical damage. Shortly thereafter, she developed rheumatoid arthritis giving her real-life experience with pain and dysfunction allowing her to relate to patients on a different level.

Outside of work, Rickie enjoys spending time with her son, and learning to squeeze every bit of joy out of life after having to make major shifts in function, perspectives, and activity. Rickie and her son enjoy road trips, time at the beach, cooking, and still living their best lives. She also spends time watching her son play basketball, swim, and play ‘Super Fun or No’!
