How do I book an appointment?

No appointments are necessary, you may walk-in.  However, you must have a requisition from your doctor before lab services can be performed.

What should I bring?

A valid health card (i.e. purple Manitoba Health Card)
A completed and signed test requisition form from a healthcare professional requesting laboratory testing.
If requested by your healthcare provider, any specimens that you were required to collect at home.

Do I need to do anything special to prepare for my test? Can I eat before the tests?

For your physician to accurately interpret your results on certain tests, you might be asked to fast.  This means not eating any foods or drinking any liquids for several hours (10 to 12 hours) or overnight prior to your test.

When do I get my results?

Your results are sent to your physician’s office, and are available 1 to 2 weeks following your test (depending on the type of test that is done).
