Concussion Program

The Pan Am Concussion Program is a multi-disciplinary clinical program affiliated with Pan Am Clinic, Health Sciences Centre - Children's Hospital, the University of Manitoba and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.  The team includes experts with training and experience in the management of traumatic brain injury and concussion.  We provide care for children with concussion, while advancing research related to concussions.  We also aim to encourage community partnerships to promote concussion awareness and prevention.

How do I book an appointment?

You must have a referral from your doctor before an appointment can be booked for you.

If you are a physician wishing to refer a patient with acute concussion or post-concussion syndrome to our clinic, please download the Patient Referral Form at the sidebar and fax to 204.927.2768.

Once you have been seen initially, you may book your own follow-up appointments by calling us at 204.927.2766.

What should I bring to my appointment?

A valid health card (i.e. purple Manitoba Health Card).

Is there a fee for my appointment or is it covered by my Manitoba Health card?

Appointments with the Concussion Program are covered when a valid Manitoba Health card is presented.  We also accept valid health cards from all other Canadian Provinces and Territories, with the exception of Quebec.
